Review: This title in question, i.e., Strong Souls Singing : African American Books for Our Daughters and Our Sisters by Archie Givens (Editor), Marian Wright Edelman (Introduction), is an awesome guide to books for African American women and girls. In here one will find short synopses of important books that African American girls should read. The descriptors are well written and to the point. Highly Recommended.
