Secret Water's is a touching and moving story. One of the most wonderful things about this book is its depiction of spiritual growth. The narrator appears to gradually come to terms with her mother's condition and the stressful situations it would produce.

Though there are situations in this book which would cause despair amongst many people, Ms. Brown is able to find humor and hope in these situations and shares it with the reader.
