Review: This is a workbook that helps the medical professional to learn the basics of the child sexual abuse evaluation. Unlike other books, this one is not a didactic reference but offers a stepwise system of learning. Each section builds on the previous section, with the first addressing the protocol, the second dealing with taking a history from the abused child and the third providing an approach to the examination and interpretation of physical findings. The program includes a videotape which helps to demonstrate findings and interpretations. The final section discusses legal issues. All discussions are case based and each section is preceded by specific learner objectives.
