Summary: There are no words!
Review: There are simply no words for me to describe the value of this book! I have a family member with cancer. We searched the bookshelves for advice on how to handle the "every day" of it all. We found Dr. Metz's book about half way through his treatments and we were instantly relieved. This book is packed full of "real life" advice from a "real life" doctor. He covers all of the topics we were afraid to ask our own doctor because well...we just felt dumb! Sometimes when you are just trying to save your life, you think you probably should just put up with the other stuff (as if nausea and pain were just a small price to pay for staying alive) Not so according to Dr. Metz. It seems that no question is stupid in his practice. He covers everything from alternative medicine to nausea with a simple honest conversational style. His patients are so lucky! Thanks Dr. Metz...you made us feel like we could get through this!

Summary: Perfect
Review: This book was a great compliment to my treatment. Cancer is scary enough without having to try to decifer what takes physcicians 10 years to learn. The information in this "how to" type book, was consice to the point and covered a wide range of information including sexual problems and alternative medicines. I especially like the "workbook" at the end. No pull at the heartstring stories nor any "filler". Just good, easy to read information including where to get more information if so inclined. I would recommend this book to EVERYONE who has cancer or knows someone else with cancer.Great information with none of the "scary" stuff.
