Summary: Silent Too Long
Review: Having been a nurse for 30 years, many of which were worked in OB, I finally found a book that addresses the issues of all type of births, from still births, to miscarriages, to hydadiform moles, and how the women and men coped with their losses. This is a poignent book, not a sad read. It is informative on how to deal with friends, family, and oneself. The chapter type stories make this excellent because you can read a person's experience easily in a short amount of time, and when you come back, you begin with a new person's ordeal. It's like having coffee with someone as they tell you about themselves, very easy listening /reading. With today's many ways of getting pregnant, and more chances of mishaps, this is timely reading for anyone. They don't have to be of childbearing age, and the versatility of the experiences makes it so very interesting. A soft, gentle, joyous noise of things that used to be whispered about. The binding makes it great to hold too! Connie Newell, RN/BS in Allied Health/Michigan
