Review: "Bright....and Behind" is a wonderful book to read WITH your learning disabled child. This book lets the child know that he/she is not alone in their struggle with a learning disability, that there ARE other children out there just like them. Children know that there are loving parents and teachers, but they need to be reassured that other kids understand what they are going through. The personal point of view this book takes helps both the child and the adult realize that perserverance can get them through. "Bright....and Behind" is also informative for the parents of learning disabled children because it gives them the chance to understand that even a caring, patient, loving parent (even with degrees in recreation and guidance and counseling) it can be extremely hard to deal with. In conclusion, this book is a extremely useful tool in deciphering the troubles of a learning disability.
