Summary: WHEN HEADS AND HEARTS COLLIDE
Review: My sister and I were having a very difficult time understanding and coping with our mother's illness. We were told by her doctor that she couldn't drive her car any more, and she could not live by herself any more. My sister bought each of us a copy of Arline Chandler's book WHEN HEADS AND HEARTS COLLIDE. This is a wonderful book. It was hard to put down because I wanted to read it all at one time. This book really helped us through a rough time because we had to make some difficult decisions.

Summary: When Heads and Hearts Collide
Review: The worst part of dealing with an aging relative is how alone you feel. Ms. Chandler's story about caring for both her parents as their health declined assured me that there are others who have become their parents' parent also. We share the same struggles, frustrations, and guilt. Have I done the right things, made the right decisions? What is right?

With the help of other family members, close friends, and her faith in Jesus Ms. Chandler was able to do her best for her parents. In the end that's all any of us can hope to do.

Many of my friends are facing the same situation and they agree that Ms. Chandler "has been there." I recommend this book to all adult children no matter the age or health of their parents.
