Summary: The Story of Personal Triumph and Human Endurance
Review: The introduction has an almost clinical explanation of anxiety. The story is very personal. I cried and laughed as lori told her story. It is the story of human endurance through some of the most horrible times in life one can imagine, yet it is balanced with bits of humor. It is also the story of anxiety in adults and children. I don't have anxiety, but I still found this a beautiful book rich in insight and wisdom.

Summary: Poignant and riveting
Review: This book provides a wealth of information for anyone who has panic disorder. It is like sitting and listening to a friend describe what her life was and is like living with panic disorder and the pain of realizing her son has inherited it as well. It's an eye opener for anyone who has panic disorder--particularly the type that is generational. Most of us come to the realization we have it after experiencing symptoms of it for years--and not realizing what it is until later in life. This is what happened to the author and her journey of discovery and her ability to not only overcome her own, but her son's very severe form, will offer hope to all who have panic disorder. You'll gain insights from this book. It's a beautiful book that will not only touch you, but you will see the courage that developed in the author and her son (and other family members) in dealing with this disorder. You will see parts of yourself in lori if you have it. It is particulary helpful in aiding parents with this disorder to identify symptoms/traits early in their child's life if they have inherited it.
