Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Superb! Review: I found this book to be one of the best ever explaining why the education system is failing. The only people who could find fault with it would be school teachers, principals, and administrators. Robert Holland has researched this subject with more depth than perhaps anyone in the country and writes on the subject with clarity, accuracy, and wit. This book is a must-read.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book is a must-read for every parent! Review: Not With My Child You Don't is a "must-read" for every parent of a school-aged child! It provides an in-depth look into many of today's so-called "education reforms" and makes sense of the senseless for the average parent wondering what in the world is going on in their child's school classroom. It is an invaluable resource for any grassroots education activist or organization. With contributions from citizen activists from coast to coast, the book clearly shows that the problems in America's schools are systemic in nature and that ignoring them and hoping that the problem will go away is not a sensible alternative for parents who are truly concerned about the education their children are receiving. The Appendix resources alone are will worth the price of the book! Robert Holland is a talented writer who puts his many years in professional journalism to good use in providing American parents with a powerful, well-researched documentary exploring the multiple agendas that are a driving force behind "modern" education.

Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Marginal at best, barely worth one point, let alone five Review: This was very disappointing. Lots of emotionalism, little of philosophical value. I read the book to try and understand the viewpoints of those who apparently don't believe in knowing where they are going before they leave. (Which of course would make one wonder how they knew when they had arrived?) I'd include my email address but I don't want those who believe in this book to fill up my in-box!I'm not certain of its Btu value but, dear reader, that's exactly all it is good for.
