Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: An excellent primary reference for health practitioners. Review: Clear and concise treatments and monographs for medicinal herbs. An invaluable reference for pharmacists, physicians, and other health care practitioners entering this exciting field of complementary therapies.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Not enough comparison on various "cures" Review: I found that although this book has good intentions it was not helpful for someone looking for more then just a list of disease states and various herbals used to treat them. Each disease state lists the herbals sometimes used but did not give any information on why one might be better or worse then the others. It was concise as others have pointed out. I would recommend the APhA book on herbs over this one.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A deceptively important book Review: Steven Ottariano's Medicinal Herbal Therapy breaks new ground in terms of clarity, insight and the accessible delivery of information about the healing benefits of natural herbs. Written by a practicing clinical pharmacist, Medicinal Herbal Therapy provides an easy-to-read perspective on how and when natural medications can augment or sometimes replace modern synthetic preparations that are often prescribed by physicians either out of habit or as a result of a lack of knowledge. Anyone searching for information about herbal cures will find the information they desire--and more--in Medicinal Herbal Therapy. The book's organization makes it easy to use. Part One, "What Ails You?" is alphabetically arranged to help you locate herbs by the symptoms they cure. Part Two, "The Healing Herbs" alphabetically lists herbs and the ailments they cure.
Rating: ![0 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-0-0.gif) Summary: Herbal medicine in an easy to use reference. Review: The demand for information about natural health and wellness has climbed to stratospheric heights. This book contains many of the most commonly used AND tested herbs that are on our planet. Documented scientific studies are included with each herb to show their cause and effect. I hope that you will find my book both entertaining and useful as a reference on which herb and dosage to use for many of the most common health problems that exist today. I welcome your comments.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This is the book I've been waiting for. Review: The direction I needed to take in this new frontier
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fantastic! Great Drawings! User Friendly! Buy this book! Review: This book is a good, easy to understand reference with practical everyday applications.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Straight forward, to the point! Review: Very valuable information, succinctly presented. Also very useful for physicians, who might want to know a little more about Phytotherapy.
