The photos are excellent -- thoughtful and interesting. The self-indulgent whining that accompanies them is not.

I read the entire thing in one night.Ms. Matesa welcomes readers into her intimate world, yet leaves enough room for us to bring our own experiences with us. Her interactions with her sister and her friend affirm both the individuality and the interconnectedness of pregnant women.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Different kind of pregnancy book Review: This is worth reading if you are pregnant simply because it is very unique among typical pregnancy books - however, the author is a very negative person and a lot of the book is her complaining about anything and everything (granted, it is her journal, but enough already)! It got a little old. But, it's a quick read and offered interesting similarities to my own pregnancy (example - her baby always quieted down when her husband has his hand on her stomach - we thought it was just our kiddo). I was disappointed that there weren't more pictures, since the ones included were very great.
