Review: Getting Out shows us how easy it is to be "reeled in" to a relationship that is abusive and the various reasons women tend to stay for so long when they know it "just doesn't feel right." Goetting uses the narratives of women who have been able to get themselves out of and stay out of abusive relationships. The life stories of these women are sometimes heart wrenching, but also very powerful and show the reader how strong women are to survive the relationship, get out of it, and make new lives for themselves. I am currently using this book in my women's studies class and would recommend it for the classroom and to give to friends for gifts.

Review: This was such a good book. I had to buy this book as a required text for a class I was taking. I recommended this book to every woman I knew. It's perfect for people who are wanting to understand the warning signs of domestic violence in order to help a loved one.
