Rating: Summary: Hits Close To Home Review: Because it hit so close to home, it took me several different sittings to read and finish this book, "Silent Killers". To know the heartbreak and reality of this book, and watch it unfold in words before my eyes is amazing, my tears mixed within the pages. Ms. Pannett does well in both explaining the loss of her cherished daughters, the how and the why, as well as let us in to her heart and mind to show us grief from the inside out. This dedication to the life of her children is an inspiring piece that should be read and understood by anyone that has lost a child, as well as one that should be read by friends and family that want to understand the different stages of grief. This is an outstanding, heartwrenching and wonderfully well written book that I highly recommend.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read Review: Silent Killers is a heartbreaking non-fiction book about two beautiful women that died to soon. Linda Pannett puts her heart and soul in telling the story of her daughters. As you read you will get to know these two lovely girls and grow to love them as their family did. Having to say goodbye to two children is almost more than any mother should have to do. Pannett will have you grieving with her as she brings you with her on the road to the loss of her beloved daughters. I would recommend this book to everyone. It will break your heart. And it will make you mad that people take life for granted everyday without thought to how they will hurt others with one wrong decision. If ever I have read a book that is a must read it is Silent Killers.
Rating: Summary: Amazing. A book you cannot put down. Review: This book is outstanding. All professional people should have this book. It is so heartfelt that I felt I was right there. It's so real and it happens everyday, I could not put it down untill I finished it. An amazing book.
Rating: Summary: An absolute heartbreaker that should be read by all? Review: What can be said about this heartbreaking book that has not already been said in the tear drenched pages of this true story about a mother who lost two daughters within two years? Sheila, mother of two, was killed by a drunk driver, and then Sherri, mother of three, succumbed to cancer. The description of the terrible events in the hospital are so real, so heartbreaking, it is hard to read, for you can feel the mother's anguish with every word. No praises of literary style, no impartial description of writing talents is possible for this book, for it lives from the heart and soul of the author. It has been said that no parent should ever outlive their children. This tragic story, as sad as it is, should help any of those unfortunate parents who have lived through that kind of hell to overcome their never ending nightmares and unbearable grief.
