Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A beautiful book that grabs your heart! Review: Can anything else change exasperation to laughter quite so quickly as a little girl's arms thrown around your neck in exuberant love? Each page of My Daughter, My Joy is a remembrance written by parents of daughters, accompanied by illustrations that are stunningly, colorfully beautiful! I was moved to tears more than once, remembering the beauty of my own daughter at her birth, her tightly curled little fists holding my heart fast in their grasp. Now 21 (yesterday), I gave this book to her, and I hope that she'll give it to her own daughter when the time comes. I greatly recommend this book for fathers, mothers, and their daughters as a beautiful giftbook to treasure!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Emotions you've had and never knew you shared Review: My Mother gave me this book, "Just because," and for weeks I put off reading it simply because it did not look like anything I would enjoy. Too mushy. Once I gave in and began reading the writings of so many other Mothers and Fathers of Women, it dawned on me how precious this gift was. How important and lovely a gift this was for me as a Women; not yet a Mother but about to become a Bride. A different sort of mile-stone. The poems and short pieces of stories brought tears to my eyes many a time and made me vow to share this feeling with as many people as I possibly can. All too often I have seen Mothers (more often it is Fathers) neglect or "push away until a more appropriate time" how heady and truly amazing loving a daughter is and can be. My own Mother never lets me forget how much she cares for me and I am grateful for that. I wish all Women could share their feelings, dreams and fears for their children as is done in this book. I highly recomend giving this book as a gift to a Mother of daughters. It is one that can be read, enjoyed and treasured for years to come.
