I was touched by the compelling passion in her work. She weaves her stories in such a manner that makes you feel a part of it all.

I found the book references to be invaluable. For every topic she covers, there are guides to more specific works that you can study.

I would highly recommend this book to all families.

Summary: EXCELLENT PARENTING BOOK W/ GREAT CHILDREN'S BOOK LISTS.
Review: You do not have to be catholic to totally become absorbed in Mrs. Marx's comments. The book breaks the year into weeks/with timely family topics, bible verses, and excellent childrens' book recommendations and follow-up family discussion questions. Adults and children alike will be enlightened by the variety of circumstances discussed with a very open mind. This is the first book like this that I have seen and you won't be disappointed. Topics range from baseball and the "Amazing Mets", to miscarriage, abortion, death, Christmas, discipline,moving..and on and on. It's a wonderful book for today's busy families.
