Summary: A book for every mom and dad
Review: Excellent book about raising children, having a family.Concise, easy to understand, and to the point. Gives specific strategies on how to handle issues like punishment, administering medicines. The author writes from the perspective of a doctor as well as a parent. As a pediatrician, I would recommend this book to all parents in my clinic.

Review: I work with a lot of kids in my line of work (in pediatrics). I think this book is very helpful in raising kids. I wish more parents would read this book. It is helpful to anticipate growth and development changes as kids get older and go through different stages in their lives. This book is easy to read and easy to understand. There is something in this book for everybody. These are simple things that are easy to incorporate into your life in raising your children. This book has tips for infants, children, teens, and young adults so that it is useful in planning the future needs of children. It helped me to anticipate what to expect in their next stage of development.

Review: Very informative. Concise. I am a nurse and there are many medical and psychological tips written so that non-medical personnel can understand easily. Some of my favorite chapters were the ones on discipline, yelling at children, infants sleeping through the night, behavior reinforcement, honesty, and family communication. I have a three year old and this book has guided me through every step of the way from infancy to present. This book is a must for every parent.
