Summary: The Working Mother's Guilt Guide
Review: I was given this book 9 years ago when my oldest was born. As a 40-something first-time mother and professional woman (CPA) it really resonated with me. I picked it up again (planning to pass it on to a pregnant professional 40-something friend of mine), re-read it, and decided I couldn't part with it! I recommend it as a baby-shower gift (she'll have enough drawstring gowns). Many of us baby-boomer moms think we can be June Cleaver/Donna Reed AND Sandra Day O'Connor AND Golda Meir AND Martha Stewart at the same time. Well, guess what. This book very cleverly lampoons that myth while making you feel OK about what you are accomplishing.
