Summary: Real life stories you can relate to
Review: This is one of many breastfeeding books I read when I had my first child. What was great about this book were the stories of diffent women's experiences with breastfeeding. It answers so many question about the beast feeding experience and validates many feelings. From problems with latching on, sore breasts, how often to expect to nurse--this book covers everything in little stories. Unfortunately I let a friend borrow my copy and haven't seen it since. I guess she enjoyed it. The book is also not overly fanatic about breast feeding. It doesn't make you feel as if you are a horrible mother if breastfeeding turns out not to be for you. I truly believe that breastfeeding is the best thing you can do for your baby, from a nutritional standpoint as well as an emotional one. I was able to nurse my daughter for the first 18 months of her life, and I credit that to all of the support from the hospital as well as books like this one. I highly recommend this book.
