Summary: Dr. Joseph Perry
Review: "Heaven, Who's Got the Tickets and How Much do they cost?" by Martha Boshart joins other excellent short books by Larry Moyer and Dr. Ray Sandford with the main theme of how does one obtain salvation and life everlasting? The main difference is that Miss Boshart proceeds in quite a different manner than do the other writers once the main theme is explored. While the other authors delve into using this information directly in fulfilling the Great Commission to evangelize all people, Miss Boshart expands more on the price an individual must pay to obtain this salvation. She does enter into the world of evangelism in her final chapter. I found her style of writing to be crystal in its clarity with a deep appreciation of the various writing devices that can change mere text into something quite poetic. This book is an extremely fast read but the material contained within its covers is most profound. She engages the reader with several stories from her own experiences and those of others that illustrate the tenets of her presentation very well. At times one wants to shed a tear as we share some of the more poignant events in her life of travel and service to God. At times I felt almost the same catharsis that I experienced in some of the "Chicken Soup" series. My only caveats would be that the author extols precision but admits to not being a detail-oriented person. And example would be when she mentions that the cost of not receiving salvation would be an eternal life in hell. This problem in her Biblical "precision" troubled me. According to Revelation only the devil, the beast and the false prophet will be consigned to eternity in the lake of burning sulfur. The rest of the sinners will suffer the "second death" as they are consumed in the lake of fire. The other caveat would be the not always clear separation in the author's text between what must do in order to receive salvation and what one does after one is saved. Salvation is by the Grace of God. All one needs to do is accept with all your heart who Jesus was, his death on the cross for your sins and his death and resurrection. That is it, totally and unmistakable. After that is achieved all of the rest of Miss. Boshart's points are what usually is manifested as the Holy Spirit indwells those who have become saved. I know Miss Boshart is in total agreement with this but the distinction is not always clear in her writing. This is an excellent book, one that should be read be any Christian who would like to learn more about what they need do to achieve God's promise of salvation and everlasting life. It further explores how this newly acquired salvation should become evident in your life with our Lord. Unfortunately those whose hearts are hardened and do not believe in God, Jesus Christ, death, sin, Heaven, Hell or Satan will find little benefit from this book. Perhaps the author will endeavor to write another book that will address those individuals. That is a crying need for such a book and she could do it very well.

Summary: Here's Your Ticket!
Review: Heaven Who's Got the Tickeet is a small book with the one most important message for the entire world. Additionally, for the Christian it becomes a most effective tool for spreading the life changing message of hope and love. My advice? Read the book, get the ticket, see you there!

Summary: This small book packs a terrific wallop
Review: Martha Boshart has written a book that can change the world. Her clean, conversational style makes it easy to read the most important message ever told. Martha doesn't tell people how to get the "ticket" to Heaven, she also details, through wonderful stories and examples, what that ticket means in forgiveness, prayer, love obedience and more.

This affordably priced book is an easy read and one that can be given to friends and relatives because it's non theatening. I ghly recommed getting several and carrying them with you. You never know when you'll meet someone who needs a ticket.

Summary: A thought provoking book of eternal consequences
Review: Martha Boshart has written a thoughtful book which is bound to become a classic. For those searching for the truth will find it here. She offers personal experiences keeping the reader turning pages and clearly pointing to the One who said, "I am the Way, I am the Truth, I am the Life. No one comes to God the Father except through Me." Martha writes of the joy of a personal relationship with God and includes chapters on obedience, love and forgiveness. This book is a powerful witnessing tool. I highly recommend it.
