Summary: A Medical Milestone
Review: Bravo! This book should be in every home in America. Finally, a constructive method to enhance the effectiveness of a medical diagnosis. Your Family Medical Record outlines a practical methodology to enable patients to better chart their medical destiny. The ability to effectively communicate with one's physician is crucial to facilitate an effective, concise, and accurate diagnosis. This book further explains in layman's terms a game plan to prohibit potentially devastating medical problems with preventive medicine. Insurance companies could save millions by distributing this book to policy holders because readers of this book will be empowered to thrwart many significant medical problems. I highly recommend this book to everyone who wishes to chart their own medical destiny.

Summary: review of Family Medical Record
Review: In reviewing the Family Medical Record, I found the manuscript to be a concise, and informative overview of medical material that a patient can utilize in their encounters in the often hectic medical world. From an Emergency Medicine point of view, I feel that if a patient can review the questions posed in chapter 1 prior to visiting a physician, they will improve their communication skills, which will assist the doctor in making a diagnosis, and ultimately expedite their treatment and care in timely and cost-efficient manner. By developing their own medical records, I found that chapter 2 can empower the patient, allow them to become more "active" in their health care, and ultimately enhance their understanding of their own medical condition. The final chapter, and glossary of terms are useful adjuncts for the patient to utilize during any medical situation. All in all, a very easy read for patients of any educational level, and a good "primer" as far as medical texts to have in your household.
