Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Interesting subject,original approach,accessible exposition
Review: I recommend this book mainly for three reasons. I found the subject really exciting : is economic status of the children dependent on the choices of their parents, and if yes, how ? The approach chosen by Mulligan is very original, because, while using the full strength of the economic reasoning, he decided to endogenize parental altruism, instead of taking it as given. Finally, one very good point for non economists is that his argumentation is altogether clear, convincing and accessible. This is a very uncommon quality in the economic litterature.
