Summary: Inspiring
Review: This book is great. It has great quotes, and splendid ideas. I think that reading this book makes your teen years much easier.

Summary: Brainwashing crap
Review: First of all this book doesn't even deserve one star. Anyhoo, my sophomore year in high school we read the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and studied it and analyzed and used it's concepts throughout the entire year. Maybe it's just the way I was taught the book, but I will NEVER look at a 7 Habits book ever again. Most of the 7 habits were unrealistic for people and was written to Sean Covey who appears to have no concept of the 'real world'. The 7 Habits to me is a cult gone seriously wrong. I suppose I could be like everyone else and lie about how much it has changed my life and how I'm so thankful that I read it, but it hasn't changed my life in any way and I hated reading that book so much. Ugh!

Summary: Not sure what to think....
Review: I've noticed that most of the reviews for this book give it either 1 star or 5 stars, but very few people seem to have mixed feelings about this book like I do. First of all, I think that "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens" is both very powerful and well-written. It contains some very helpful advice that will come in handy some time or another in your life. However, some of the advice, such as the Relationship Bank Account, is easier said than done. I felt that many of Sean Covey's suggestions were facile in the sense that they were not things that I would do in real life. Covey seems to think that in order to have a good relationship with someone, you need to always be fishing for a compliment or nice thing to say. But in real life, "effective" people have a positive attitude, but aren't necessarily always dishing out compliments. People who over-compliment aren't always liked by everyone! Another thing about this book is that it should not be read in one sitting. I would say that it is best read about 5 minutes at a time... read one section, then put it down for the day and focus on implimenting that one section in your daily life. When you read several sections at a time, you tend to forget what you read at the beginning and you would definately have a hard time putting the first few habits to work in your life. Take the time to fill out all of the activities such as the "Baby Steps" sections in order to really help you put the book into practice. Lastly, I want to say that since reading this book, my life hasn't changed all that much. I'm not more effective... I'm not liked more or liked less. One thing that I found when I read the book was that I was already trying to do many of the things mentioned! I've tried putting some of the other habits into practice, but I fail to see how they are improving the quality of my life. If you're happy with your life as it is, I would pass on this book... the content person does not need self-help. But if you're not happy with your life or if you want to become a more positive person, you'll probably find this book very helpful. One last note... older teens would probably get more out of the "adult" version, "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People", since Covey uses language that is overly simple and trite at times, but the principles of both books are exactly the same.

Summary: The Best of the Best
Review: For a while, I was wondering if there was any way (interesting way) I can improve my life-my social life and my academic life. That was when I found this book. At first, I was thinking that it would be some heart warming story book that doesn't have enough strength to turn a teen in the right direction but I was wrong. I'm proud to say I have total control of my life and take the consequences to thing I do wrong better. For any age, the 7 habits definatly will come handy.

Summary: The book is great, also the language used.
Review: Some people dont like self-helping books because they are all common sense. Maybe it is. But the next time you will react to something, speak with someone or plan something, you will always use this good common sense inside the 7 habits.

The language is very cool, the stories are great and all of them tell good teen stories about the use of the 7 habits.

This book is so massive, that you need some time to write your own ideas and practice. At the end of each chapter, you have some exercises to do to make the habit works for you.

You will be doing better stuff after reading this book, you will learn how to react, how to plan, how to speak, how to treat people better.

Summary: Good Book, But Not For Every Teen
Review: I'm thirteen and I personally liked this book, though I really didnt find a ton of use out of it. (My life is pretty undercontrol) First of all, I found it a little hard to relate to the author, considering he's well in his thirties (no offence, of course!), and I couldnt help but feel he was lecturing to teens and not relating to us. I'd reccomend it to matured young teens, older teens, and even adults for an easier to read version of the real thing.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: This book was great fun to read and helped me a whole lot. It made me see life in a whole new perspective and I am now happier about myself. The habits also help you develop into a more mature person. It is not boring and has interesting pictures and quotes throughout the book to keep you reading. This book is great for any teenager or adult!!

Summary: An Amazing Triumph
Review: You'll never see life the same way again after reading Sean Covey's, "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens." This book is not only useful for teens, but for adults as well. Don't let the title fool you, this isn't so much about teenagers, as it is about the human race in general. I highly recommend this book, for its wonderfully, inspiring stories, its helpful techniques, and the principles that it sets out to instill in any man or woman of any age. Whether you are 12 or 65 years old, this book is a must if you wish to make any sort of quality change in your life. Run, don't walk, to your local bookstore, and get yourself a copy of this amazing book. You won't regret it.

Summary: The best teen self-help book ever!
Review: I normally hate self-help books. Probably because they're preachy, boring, and don't get the point across at all. So how do you explain the fact that I loved this book? It isn't preachy and always manages to stay interesting, yet can really affect you in a positive way. Any teen will love this book, and parents will too, as it gives loads of important messages and really inspires you to try living your life by them. A must-buy!
