Rating: Summary: Sees children as authentic persons Review: --not lumps of clay to be molded by powerful and all knowing parents. Gives credence to childrens' thoughts, desires, and individuality and emphasizes treating them always with respect. A clear and well written book by a person who has experience and wisdom. This book is on my shelf beside "Your Competent Child" by Jesper Juuls and "Everyday Blessings" by Jon & Myla Kabat Zinn. I wish there were more books like this and fewer by those who rely on force and power in their dealings with children.
