Rating: Summary: A must have book when dealing with newborn loss Review: My 13 day old son, my firstborn, died a little less than a year ago. This book continues to be one of VERY FEW that I have been able to relate to. The author, in great detail, takes us through HER story and journey to survive the loss of her infant son. She reminds us that life will go on and that others also suffer devastating losses, without minimizing ours. How a newborn's death affects a family and marriage is also covered. For anyone dealing with the loss of a newborn and searching for a voice, this book is a good choice.

Rating: Summary: What a disappointment. Review: The title and reading the back really made this book sound like it would help me to know how to live through the grief of losing my baby girl before birth. The title is very misleading, really this is a poorly written book that jumps all over the place as the author talks about her baby's death and how she related with the writings of a man who was mourning the death of his people. I could not relate at all to what this lady wrote or how she processed her grief. I think a better title for this book would be 'My Story: How I Coped with the Death of My Newborn Son.' If anything this book showed me yet again how differently people grieve.

Rating: Summary: A companion to healing after loss of an infant Review: This is a sad but moving story of one mother's nightmare following the death of her one week-old son. The author shares her emotional journey from denial and guilt to remembrance and reconciliation and finally to healing and surprising joy. She works together with celebrated author Elie Wiesel, delivering insights that can help one through grief.
Rating: Summary: Misleading title Review: While the author shares a moving account of her infant's death, there is little to nothing about miscarriage. Having recently experienced a miscarriage, I found scant comfort in this book and found myself flipping through it looking for something that I could relate to. Final opinion - good for infant loss, poor for miscarriage. There are far better books addressing miscarriage and pregnancy loss on the market.
