Rating: Summary: On Your Mark! Review: Get set!! Go buy this book!!! Lori Borgman's columns started appearing in our local paper this year and it is hard to imagine a better antidote for today's glammed-up, TV-focussed world. She writes delightful, down-to-earth stories about issues today's families face, that will make you laugh, think and sigh. Definitely NOT boring!

Rating: Summary: Thought provoking and Fun Review: I enjoyed the book and my wife and I may buy it for a couple of people who may get somthing out of it. (Should). Too bad your reviewer isn't paid enough to buy books. It's a shame to have to read excerpts in a newspaper. Poor man.
Rating: Summary: Great fun to read! Review: Lori Borgman can make you think as well as laugh. She has a unique take on things, and is not afraid to say what many of us think, but may not admit to thinking. I've been a fan of her newspaper column for several years, and was glad to hear that her first book was coming out. I enjoyed this book from start to finish! It made me laugh, it made me think, and it brought tears to my eyes at times. Parents, you'll relate to it. The short pieces it contains are perfect for the abbreviated attention spans we moms and dads seem to have after kids... I recommend Lori's book, and I'm looking forward to more from her!
Rating: Summary: It was hilarious and thought-provoking all at once. Review: Lori's style of writing reminds me of Erma Bombeck and I loved her columns and books. I especially enjoy reading the segments that make a point no matter how subtle. My favorites include Mary With The Dark Blue Nose and When The Ants Go Marching In. My favorite funny ones include Calling All Clothes and Honey Can't Find The Mustard. These hit close to home. Lori's book reminds me of talks with a good friend.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic!!! Should be on every coffee table! Review: More of this type literature should be in the book stores. Very down to earth. Use of common sense that most persons do not use today
Rating: Summary: Boooooooorrriiinnnnggg!!!! Review: The title says it all. This wonderful book describes to a "T" the blessings and banes of child-rearing. It is funny, thoughtful and poignant all rolled into one. A marvelous effort.

Rating: Summary: Boooooooorrriiinnnnggg!!!! Review: This book is a pile of sludge. Trite, sentimental, banal, oh-isn't-that-cute-it-happened-to-me-too. Healthy happy people in Brady Bunch land. Like Erma Bombeck only more so. I never read any of her columns and can't imagine why they are so "wildly popular" as I could spew out the exact same treacle myself, pointing out the obvious things of everyday life. For collectors of Precious Moments figurines only!!!
Rating: Summary: Extremely Funny!!!!!!!! Review: This book is extremely funny...any mother can truly appreciate Lori's stories. Just about every story she told I was saying to myself "that's so true!!!" I highly recommend this for yourself and buy a few extras for presents for any other mothers you know!!!
