Summary: A real heart melter
Review: The Little Prince is a timeless classic and my favorite book. It touches young and old alike. For the young, it is a fairy tale to grow up with. For for the old, it is a keepsake for life. One is never the same after meeting The Little Prince. He leaves his footprints in the heart and his essence in the soul. I cherish this tale and will keep it in my heart forever.

Summary: Of singing wells and laughing stars
Review: Antoine de Saint-Exupery is a poet. "The Little Prince" is his most fragile poem.It is powerful philosophy gently taught by a wounded child. And we who listen learn to hear hope springing eternal in the deserts of our lives, and remember the laughter of old loves in the twinkling of stars. The Little Prince heals with beauty and love.

Summary: Read The Little Prince
Review: This book thoughroly changed my life. It gave me new perspective about life, a better way of seeing things, all because of the little prince. Such a wise little man, aching inside, filled with tales about his marvelous adventures, willing to share these with the narrator. The book focuses a lot on the little prince and his journeys to other planets. If you wold like to have a new perspective for life, well then I recommend you read The Little Prince. The character himself is guaranteed to fully charm you and make your life focus on the small things in life. I may be really really young, but I know good writing when I see it. So I recommend the Little Prince because it has so many topics and aspects all rolled into one, so it is very entertaining, philosophical and my favorite book. Thank you.

Summary: Is this stupid or what?
Review: What a really stupid book. For me anyway, it is very unrealistic. I mean like, how did the Little Prince travel from planet to planet with a flock of birds? Hey give me a break. When he entered earth, how come he didn't burn in the atmosphere? This book is just some sort of fairy tale. I know this book has some values to teach but the values are not taught in hte right way. How come it cannot just be said in a straightforward manner? This is supposed to be a kid's book. There are so many underlying meaning hidden within the lines which most of the readers don't even understand. Or, when they do, hey we know those things that this book is trying to teach already. Get to the point!

Summary: Very admirable book
Review: To be completly honest, I would rate this book thirteen, but that's not an option. This work of art has many unique features. Though the story is short and the synopsis sounds child-like, the layers of meaning are clearly meant for more comprehensive readers. The vocabulary displayed also betrays the mature audience the book was written for. The end struck me as particularly profound. It is the sort of literature that leaves you numb in your chair after finishing. Thinking about it for hours without tire has led me to the conclusion that this book that appears to be for a mere child is truly magnificent, and meant for all. I would recommend that children, if you read it, pick it up again when you have grown older. You will uncover more treasures with each pasing year. ( I persinally am only thirteen, but I have read numerous amounts of literature and ahve considered myslef to be a valid critic of age level and such.

Summary: A must for your library - and your children's
Review: This book comes in two guises. It is a wonderful tale that children will love, just like I did when I read it for the first time at the age of 6. But it is also an enchanting view of our world and life that you best appreciate when you are an adult. This little book is worth thick volumes of learned philosophy. It offers a glimpse into the heart of its author, a man who could still see the world with star-filled eyes of a growing child. No matter how old you are, read this book; it will stay with you for the rest of your life.

Only later I learned that the book was written in the middle of the most horrible war the world has known. A year after the book was published, its author was shot down in action over Mediterranean, fighting for the freedom of his country. He left behind a great gift for the whole mankind.

Summary: My favorite book.
Review: There is too much pressure in the world today to grow up and become a person "of consequence"-- without regard for what is lost in the process. "The Little Prince" is a wonderful and timeless reminder of how absurd this notion is. It is enjoyable for both children and adults-- not too difficult for the younger crowd, not too banal for the older, and a lot of magic that anyone with an open heart can appreciate. It is a story all about the creation and flowering of friendship (quite literally), of learning to love, and learning to say goodbye. And the realization that what is important isn't the facade of success that we are so often told we should pursue, but rather what is in the heart. To give it the credit it deserves, I would be forced to quote the book in full..

Summary: Suicide in a children's book?
Review: A good book... but is it for children? It is, if your child won't understand the reference to suicide. But would you risk that? What is suicide doing in a children's book? Of course, Defoe's Robinson Carouso contains references to cannibalism, The Giver contains infanticide, etc. So consider this before selecting it for your child. Otherwise, it's on a philosophical par with The Prophet... but will children be able to understand it?

Summary: A classic for the ages.
Review: This 50th anniversary edition has wonderful plates and information which contribute to the enjoyment of the tale. The story itself is ageless and is about friendship; which it teaches consists of trust and loyalty. I don't know if this book has more for children or for adults who have forgotten.

Summary: A mystical journey you will not forget.
Review: Having read this book 15 times and in 3 languages, I can say that it is extraordinary. The writing is absolutely magical, and the characters are completely unforgettable. This story always brings me out of my mundane life into a reverie of dreams, stars, and flowers. You will laugh and cry and come away from this book with renewed vitality and hope. If only everyone could read this book- maybe we all would look at others in a different light. This is an enchanting story that will leave goosebumps on your arms and a smile on your face. It truly touches your soul
