Rating: Summary: a perfect masterpiece Review: the story was great for it was not only for kids but also for all. it was true in that story we grown-up dont usually look to the deeper meaning of a thing. get my point.!
Rating: Summary: Read it and reread it Review: I just re-read this book (in French). It is not only beautiful. Almost each sentence can be memorized like a proverb. It's like a poem - in prose. It is for kids. And it is for adults. Re-read it - once in a while. And you will find that the emotions and experiences you've been moved by in your life will resonate as you reread the pages of this masterpiece.
Rating: Summary: The Inner Child Discovered Review: After reading "The Little Prince", I was reminded of how all adults must never lose sight of their inner child. It is a story about a pilot who is stranded in the desert and encounters the Little Prince. This Little Prince teaches the adult about the meaning of life, and gives the reader a youthful perspective on life. This heart warming story of friendship touched me, and it made me evaluate what is important to me. I recommend this novel to anyone searching for clarity in his hectic life.
Rating: Summary: Simply the best Review: To write a book like this Saint-Exupery had to of lived to gain such an understanding of life. It was one of his last books and written with such clarity. I recommend it to anyone who is going through any sad times - it will remind you of what is important in life - and put everything in perspective. I have bought so many copies and believe everybody should read it. It was recommended to me by James Dean (not personally - in the film of his life story!) - Once read, never forgotten.
Rating: Summary: The Story That Changed Adults Into Kids Review: I would be hard pressed to believe that this book was actually written for kids at all. Who ever the audience intended, it is still a wonderful story about a boy and his small, small planet with a single flower. Wonderful at every turn giving the message that growing up we lose our sense of freedom, fun, innocence, creativity and imagination. Highly reccomended for anyone. This edition that I refer to also has some nice paintings that go with it This book will definately be worth the time.
Rating: Summary: This is a wonderful, wonderful book. Review: This little story is not just for children at all. I first read this book when I was 14, and I have probably re-read it more than 20 times since, once even in the German translation. It is simply beautiful and true.
Rating: Summary: The Little Prince is a Classic Review: I would just like to say how much this book has influenced me as a young person. I believe that this book is one of those books that will be remembered. It is so meaningful, yet it is still interesting for children to read. I have read this book probably a total of 50 times and each time, I get something more out of it. Everyone must read this book!
Rating: Summary: Not for Grown-ups! Review: This is a best book that I have ever read. Everytime that I read this book (I read it more than 15 times) I learn new lessons.I suggest you (that are not grown-ups) read this book every year. Please read this not see it, to find a secret of life (to tame), that never grown-ups can undrestand.
Rating: Summary: To tame is to establish ties Review: Life's secrets are revealed to us by this book. Each time you read it, you will find yourself wonder how come last time you didn't see this new secret. But then of course, just as the little prince learned from the fox, "what is essential is invisible to the eye." So if you want to learn the secrets, you have to learn it from your heart and that, is harder than seeing the shell with your eyes. What I find most helpful to me as a psychotherapist is the friendship between the fox and the little prince. I highly recommend this book to people in the mental health profession, among all others. "To tame is to establish ties," and that teaches us one more thing about the therapeutic relationship.
Rating: Summary: The Little Prince Review: The most wonderful book written not only for children but adults alike. This book teaches humans to look beneathe the surface, to love one another and that life has a purpose. The best book anyone could read!
