Review: This book is a wonderful resource for therapists who work with adult survivors of sexual abuse. Written by Christine Courtois, a leader in the field of treatment for survivors, the book is based on an 8 week model. Depending on the setting you work in, you might find it difficult to provide a long-term psychotherapy group for survivors, yet you want to fill a need that is not presently met in the community. This format is psycho-educational and lends itself to a short-term process. The book offers handouts for each session and ifnormation for lectures during the sessions. You won't be disapointed!
