Rating: Summary: Ending diabetes denial Review: There are two reasons why every diabetic should own this book: (1) It is the best source I've found to combat what is manifest with every disease: denial! You cannot read this and continue to behave in ways that guarantee diabetes complications. (2) Its print is large enough for those of us whose eyesight has been compromised by diabetes. READ THIS BOOK if you have diabetes!

It was part of the "Forever Young Series" of the Today Show (producer: Susan Dutcher). It was profiled, in part, because of the many important messages it contains for people with diabetes.
Rating: Summary: excellent Review: This is a superb overview of diabetes complications written in easily understandable layman's language. It covers many types of complications and gives causes, symptoms and treatments for them. Even more important - a great deal of information on prevention is also given. This book is for those who suffer from this condition and those who care about them.
