Rating: Summary: Forget the rest! Review: I love this book. What can I say? A bit of advice, some great information, and a smile with each of the 125 Things. Love it, Love it. My OB has it in each of his rooms... great reading for the long wait in the paper gown.
Rating: Summary: Cute Review: I must say I expected a lot more from this book. It's a fun shower gift because it's simple and cute, but I didn't find too much information in it. If you want more 'meat' check out: What to Expect When You're Expecting. Also, if you already have a child (or two!) get ready for another by having this book on hand: Perfect Parenting by Elizabeth Pantley (since you'll be too busy to read, but still need lots of help!)
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS ANYTHING BUT A DOWNER Review: I really love this book. I just gave it to three different friends who are having their first baby. The book is fun and I found it helpful to have a book which reminds me that there are lots of things I can do to feel pretty and attractive while my body goes through so many changes. I did not get it for a lot of technical or medical info, but for a cute, funny, darling, up-beat short read with great prose and a great attitude. I have given 10 copies as gifts so far and will definetely continue to do so. Get this book for your friends pregnant for the first time or the 5th - it is a lot of fun and you can learn a bunch of important things from it, too. Many ideas are original and I have not seen them discussed in any of the many different pregnancy and child development books I've read.
Rating: Summary: A little humor during a weird time Review: I sent this book to give my sister a few laughs and take her first pregnancy, which is apparently a tough time, with a little fun. It did the trick. As she told me, the tips aren't too practical, but something the husband can read to the wife and both can enjoy.
Rating: Summary: 125 reasons why you need this book!! Review: Lucky for me, Nina wrote this book when I found out I was pregnant. Now, lucky for you, you can have the same juicy advice. It's a truly funny, useful, yummy book. You will treasure it as much as I do!!
Rating: Summary: My Wife wrote this book! Review: My wife wrote this book for a friend because she loved being pregnant and wanted to make sure that her good friend would also find all the joy and wonder of pregnancy instead of the fears and nerves many women experience. When she was pregnant, so many books filled us both with worry about all kinds of things. Sometimes we would forget that we were expecting a great gift, and get caught up in concerns. Her book is 100% positive, funny, and doesn't contain one thing to fuss over. Buy it for your wife so she can share my wife's positive outlook. You'll enjoy it too!
Rating: Summary: Has hints that I wish someone had given me! Review: This book is full of helpful hints for future mom's. I wish I would have had some of the hints when I had my three children. There are several that I can relate with.
Rating: Summary: Sweet as can be... Review: This book is light and easy, and you can tell that the author had fun with it. I believe it was intended as as heart to heart kind of book, short and to the point, letting the reader know that this time when you are expecting is to be enjoyed. I believe that the book sends just that message. Take it to heart, and be happy. Good luck with all your babies!
Rating: Summary: A refreshing look at pregnancy! Review: This book is not filled with a wealth of medical jargon, and it does not have specific sections about pregnancy situations you may find yourself in. It does, however, have a personal, almost audible, positive feeling about it. When one picks this up and reads it, they are reminded of how great a pregnancy can be. Good feelings tied in with neat colored drawings. Lots of giggles too.
Rating: Summary: Extremely Reader Friendly Review: This book is not only creatively illustrated but it is a quick and easy read. The author illustrates her own work, which is not only very thoughtful but it helps to make that special connection with the reader. Landi, has done a very good job at presenting a practical and user-friendly approach to pregnancy for new and experiecned mothers. She shares wise and timely suggestions about those little details that no one really bothers to tell you about, until way after the fact, that is."125 Things You Must Know" is well worth your time.
