Review: As a Criminal Investigator who works Child Abuse/Sex Abuse, I found this book to be an excellant resource. It explains technical medical information in a way that is easy to understand by non-medical personnel, but also manages to provide an enormous amout of detail. Photographs are extremely helpful. Is very thorough in establishing intentional abuse vs. accidental injury. Well referenced and has forms. Recommend the two book set. Is a little pricey for most individuals. I recommend this set to doctors, nurses (especially SANE), Social Services, and Law Enforcement Agencies.

Review: I perform Child Protective Services as a social worker the first agency where I was employed had this two volume set available to the staff. The information contained was detailed and inclusive of all aspects of child abuse. It was a wonderful source of medical information that assisted me in determining the child abuse with signs and symptoms. I have been trying to locate this set since 1998 to use at my agency. I am hopeful that it will be published in the future.
