Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Best Book to get your pre-pregnancy weight back fast! Review: This book is a total must for any woman looking for an easy way to get back your pre-pregnancy shape fast without drastic changes to be made to your diet or exercises! I started to read it in my 9th month and by the time my son was born I knew exactly what I needed to do to get started. Here I am 3 weeks later after having a c-section, I have done no exercising just following Dr. Levine's eating tips, and I weigh less than I did before I got pregnant(148 to 127), and I am still loosing(this is baby #2 for me also)! This book is great because it gives guidelines on what those of us who are nursing and non-nursing moms can do to loose your post-baby weight, a great 15 day menu to follow with normal food products, no diet stuff all easy things to prepare, so important for the mom who has little time with a newborn. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting their old body back super fast. My body looks better than after my first child and my husband is still shocked by how easy this is for me to do. Buy this book if you want your old body back and maybe even a newer better shaped one. It will not be a waste of your time or money even if you had a baby 6 months ago!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: nursing mothers beware Review: This book is mostly for non-nursing mothers. Only one chapter is dedicated to nursing mothers and it isn't very encouraging. If you are planning on nursing your baby I wouldn't buy this book. I was disappointed.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Not what I expected! Review: This book was an easy, informative read. I learned a great deal about my postartum body from this book. The suggested "menus" in the back are great as well. However, the book gives very little hope to trying to lose your baby fat after six months postpartum. He pretty much says that it is impossible to lose the weight after six months. This is not true and was not helpful to me. It was nothing but depressing and discouraging. I mean, why try if it is impossible? My suggestion is to read the book before you have your baby and get some good use out of it. (I will be following the author's advice on the NEXT baby.) If you had your baby several months ago, look for something else. This book may only frustrate and depress you. I read the book when my daughter was 3 months. I am now 8 months postpartum, just recently figured what is working for me and losing my weight. I have lost 9 pounds in the last month. It IS possible to lose the weight after six months.

Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: the worst ever for a new mom Review: While I was reading this book I was amazed that it even made it onto a book shelf. The author said that **the body is a furnace after you give birth and you should have no problem losing the weight--you shouldn't even have to try.** He said that women should lose all of the weight in their first six months--with little or no exercise. This is such crap. From a new mom who is working her butt off to get back in shape (and eating healthy) this ticks me off. I barely lost any of the weight my first six months. My body is not a furnace (as I'm sure many aren't...no two bodies work the same). I also breastfed my daughter for the first 6 months...this did not help w/ weight loss either. My daughter is now almost 9 months old and I have only lost half of the weight...but that was by eating healthy and staying active. This book honestly made me feel bad about myself, because I wasn't able to acheive what the author thinks is "normal" weight loss following the birth of my child. And FYI ladies...just because you lose the weight, doesn't mean you gain the muscle back--just work-out and eat healthy...that's how you lose the baby weight:)
