Rating: Summary: Kids just wanna have fun!!!! Review: Really Winning is a great book. It not only tells us how important it is to keep a sane perspective on children's sports, it gives us the insight, understanding and tools to do it. The book contains examples and cases that not only inform but make the book extremely interesting to read. As a mother of two boys who are beginning to play sports I found the book helped me to understand what it is I want and need from the coaches and sports groups that my sons will encounter. I now know how I can advocate for my children without feeling as though I simply want my child to be the star. Whether my children will ever be star athletes it is too soon to tell. But it is not too soon to help them develop into decent, honorable men. Really Winning will help parents, coaches and teachers maintain this perspective. Everyone involved with boys should read this. I am buying a copy for my sons' soccer coach.
