Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: BEST BOOK I'VE COME ACROSS ON THIS SUBJECT Review: After reading what seems like hundreds of books on this subject, this book just seem to hit the spot. It even seemed to cover my situation - my husband of thirteen years walking out on me and our first child when she was eight months old. It described so many of the little situations that we had gone through with very helpful hints and tips on how the situation should be or should have been addressed. It is simple, practical and straight forward without too much jargon, fancy words and ideas. I liked that when it talked about situations, it divided the response into appropriate age groups of the child eg birth to 2 years, toddlers, young adolescents etc. The advice given didn't just cover everyone but was broken down into specific age groups. It is plain, simple and down to earth. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy this book but after I had finished reading it and highlighting all the passages I wanted to be able to quickly refer to again, I went and purchased a copy for my ex husband and told him he could learn a lot from it.
