Review: Bradstreet's book has been a god send! after years of struggling with poor digestive health and recurrent miscarraiges and infertility i read her book and came upon candida as a possible problem. i am still not pregnant but treatment of the candida, which i did have, is going well and i hope to achieve a full term pregnancy sometime this year. Too little medical and scientific info, stupid tips...,
as the size of the book shows; this lady has not much to say or much help to offer. There is much more to infertility than a few herbs and vitamins.
You get better books for just a few $'s more ( " the couple's guide to fertility" or " taking charge of your fertility" )
Don't bother with this !

Summary: A must read by every women wanting to get pregnant.!
Review: I think this book is great as it is extremely informative and encompasses a total approach to overcoming infertility and preventing miscarriages. She explores natural causes of infertility and miscarriages (nutrient and hormonal deficiencies) and how to treat it with specific nutrients, chinese herbs and cleansing programs. I LOVED this book as she wrote about studies overcoming infertility and miscarriages which were extremely successful once certain nutrients were added to the diet. I have read a lot of books about miscarriage and there are only a couple that talk about natural causes. Most books out there only talk about it in medical terms and treat the symptoms rather than the actual causes. I have read this book twice! It gives me a lot of hope.

Review: I'm not joking. In her chapter on miscellaneous tips she comments that so many people seem to get pregnant after adopting that you should consider this route. For the record - and this stat is NOT mentioned in her book - 5% of couples who end treatment will end up conceiving on their own *regardless of whether they choose adoption or not.*The rest of the stuff she mentions (herbs, vitamins, etc.) seemed like it was all gleaned from the internet and is presented without any detail. Skip this book!

Summary: IT REALLY WORKS
Review: Karen Bradstreet is fantastic and I only hope she reads the reviews posted on the Amazon.com website, so she will feel satisfied that her book is helping lots of people all over the world. I bought her book 'Overcoming Fertility Naturally' about 2 months ago, and within 30 days of my husband and I both trying her recomended combinations of vitimins and herbs religiously every day, I was pregnant. We had been trying to get pregnant for about 1 1/2 years. Now some of the skeptics out their may think it was coincidence, and perhaps it was, but I am positive Karen's book helped us along our way. For those of you who have had trouble conceiving, give this book a try as you have nothing to loose. Good luck. Thank you so much Karen Bradstreet.

Review: This book provided only generalizations without sufficient detail. There are plenty of great books out there on infertility. I suggest reading one of those. This book does not proide sufficient information on dosage or when to take herbs during your cycle. This could lead to some potentially damaging situations for some women.

Summary: A definite must if you are having trouble getting pregnant!
Review: This book was amzaing! It was packed with so much information about natural remedies to try if you are having a hard time conceiving. I have read several books of this type and this is the first one to put things in non-medical terms where you could actually understand them. I have a Biology major and still some books are difficult to understand, but not this one. Bottom line - I want a list of things I could do or try and this book gives it to you. In the process, Karen talks about Candida which can cause people to be infertile. I came to find out from her symptom list that I had this and that was what was giving me my infertility problems! I might not have ever figured out what was causing it. The doctors just kept trying to treat the symptoms instead of finding the root cause. The vitamin and herb chapter was very informative and helpful. I might go look at an actual book on herbs to find out more information about the ones she identifies. Overall I think the book is very useful for those who are frustrated with not being able to conceive. She talks about emotions as well in the infertility cycle. I was throughly impressed. My other major was psychology and she really hit on some issues that most people don't (or won't) talk about when it comes to dealing with emotions. This book is also very concise so it wasn't hard to sit and read in one sitting.

My husband and I both started taking a whole bunch of vitamins- and I got pregnant the next month. We had been trying for almost a year before this. I picked this book up for 10 cents at a yard sale and I swear her ideas on vitamins to help regulate things in your body were great- it did the trick for me! It has a lot of great information and I definitely recommend it.
