Review: I love this book! As soon as I got my copy I highlighted all of the activities that I liked the most. By the time I was finished, I had marked almost every project. It is filled with all sorts of ideas that you can use every day. I also was able to use this book to plan a birthday party. I especially liked the fact that the author included some activities that are well-known such as hide-and-go-seek. Although I'm familiar with this game I don't always think to play it. No more "I'm bored. What can I do now?". This rainy day survival guide is one that every parent should have.

Review: I've used a lot of children's activities books--this is by far one of the best. The suggested activities (1)take advantage of things you already have around the house (no special trips to a pricey craft shop), (2)require minimal set-up, (3)provide the child an opportunity for creative independence, and (4)require minimal clean-up. You can literally open the book, point at random to an activity, and have your child happily involved within minutes. It works for all three of my kids--ages 3,5, and 8!

Review: This is just what the doctor ordered! My son and I enjoy the projects very much. He is an only child and I sometimes run out of ideas so I grab my copy of "Mommy's Rainy Day Survival Guide"...rain or shine. I love keeping him away from the TV. One of my favorites is the one where you freeze the toys in ice. My son was amazed and so was I. This book is filled with all of those fun projects that make you say, "Now why didn't I think of that?" It's brilliant!
