Summary: Written from the Heart
Review: Ashley shares her experience firsthand as do others in her book. I was saddened and moved. This is information that needs to be brought out. I know that I am not alone. I was molested during a Swedish massage by a nun and I will never be the same. Thank you, Ashley, for having the courage to write this book. I know it probably took a lot!

Summary: Courageous, wonderful
Review: I disagree with the reader from Naples. This wasn't meant to be a text book. It's clearly written for survivors of sexual abuse by nuns. I know. I 'm one of them. Now I know I'm not some kinda freak. Nobody wants to talk about this. I never heard about a book about this until this one. The stories made me cry. My sister, who didn't go to Catholic school, read it and cried, too. We can really talk now.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: The author claims she met her goals one of which was to produce the first major work to address sexual abuse by nuns.

I do not see how she has done that. Her work is far from scholarly, she uses few if any references and so on.

It was a complete disappointment and waste of money.

Summary: The Truth is Told
Review: The Truth is Told. Now I know I am not the only one. I felt anger, sadness and even shock as I read it. The author's concern for others shines throughout the book. The nun who abused me was sick and cruel, and I would go so far as to say an "evil woman." I didn't realize that others were using the word "evil" also. This work is intensive and extensive.

Summary: Excellent, prophetic
Review: This is a ground-breaking work, prophetic, beautifully and powerfully written. For those abused by nuns, there is genuine comfort found in this work. Truly written for survivors of sexual abuse by nuns.

Summary: the shocking truth
Review: We always hear about the priests who molest boys and girls, but here is the more rare reality of nuns who sexually misuse children. And this book also deals with nuns who are sexual abuse survivors of fellow nuns. A most intriguing and disturbing study, I believe it's the only one of its kind; I only wish it had been longer. I thank the author, herself a past victim of this form of abuse, for having the courage to write this book to warn and inform people like me and to help others like her.(...)

Summary: Excellent, prophetic
Review: When I read about Ashley Hills book in the Link Up. I knew I had to get a copy. Her book moved me deeply as I read the accounts of the abuse of children but also the abuse that occurred within the convent. I always had felt I was alone in this experience. Although my experience was in an Anglican order her accounts in Roman Catholic orders mirrors my experience. Abuse of children by females and female on female violence is something this nation and the churches which have monastic orders should face. Clergy abuse by males of males has been in the news rpeatedly but clergy abuse of women, and women abusing children and women abusing women in a church context has never been touched. Thanks Ashley, you are brave and to the publishing house as well.
