Summary: Great Book
Review: I really enjoyed this book. It gives practical advice and has a Christian orientation. Most of what it contains could be profitably used by non-Christians as well but I think it would be particularly enjoyable for evangelical types.

There is a lot of instruction here about nurturing various aspects of your son's soul -- whether it be emotional awareness and expressiveness or discipleship. The parts on development refer to scientific research without getting bogged down in excessive detail which would spoil the read for laypeople. Particularly I think this book would be helpful to fathers who want to be deeply involve in their son's development.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Insightful and helpful
Review: Raising Sons and Loving It has become a helpful tool both in raising two sons and being a child and adolescent therapist. The information found in this book is so helpful when trying to understand the dynamics of my sons. The parents of my clients who have read this book have also come to a new understanding of how to understand and enjoy their sons. This book stresses both the father's and the mother's role in the development of a boy. It was very insightul into male development in the areas of sexualtiy, spirituality and the role of testosterone in aggression. It is a very insightful and helpful book in understanding a son.
