Review: MY SELF, MY FAMILY, MY FRIENDS is a practical and comprehensive guide to young children's self-esteem. As a parent I like the concise chapters, each is complete in itself, yet complimented by the rest of the book. (Remember that most parents are limited by sitting times of 10 minutes or less to read, i.e. the amount of time they can hide in the bathroom!) As an educator, I am impressed by the topics, authors, and the list of resources at the end of each section. I found several unique topics of interest including "Encouraging Hope in Young Children", "The Joy in Your Preschooler's life", "Making Relaxation Part of Children's Lives" and "Snakes Never Slurp Their Soup." I can't wait to start Ms. Farber's other books!
