Review: This book clearly answers the question everyone always wants to know: why does she stay? It gives numerous examples of the many reasons women stay, and the factors in their lives that effect that choice. It is the best of any that I've read (20-30) which effectively illuminates their reasons, without demeaning or glorifying them. It is must reading for anyone involved in domestic violence, either as a survivor, case worker, or friend or family of a survivor.
