Rating: Summary: Hospital jitters no more! Review: I didn't realize I could have so much control over our hospital experience. I thought everyone had to adhere to the standard hospital rules. Thanks for the BIRTHING PLAN information. Rooming in is for me so I can keep an eye on my baby.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: I enjoyed this book a lot. The stories were great from other parents and I liked the authors experiences and the medical information that she added to back up her statements. The information in the chapters really got me thinking about the different aspects and has convinced me that attachment parenting is the way to go.
Rating: Summary: Attachment Parenting Review: I found interesting information that will help me as I make decisions about parenting.
Rating: Summary: Great Parenting Tool Review: I found this book to be a wonderful source of support for my views on parenting. I find myself referring back to it regularly to support me in my decisions. I think this is a great book for any parenting library. I enjoyed the beautiful photo's throughout the book as well as all the personal stories and statements from hundreds of other attachment parents. The author did a nice job with this book. I liked the easy to read format which was welcomed by my tired eyes. It is quite obvious how passionate the author is about this style of parenting that she and many generations of her family have been dedicated to and successful with. I plan on giving this book to my husband to read since he is on the fence about a few parenting issues and this book will surely convince him to attachment parent.

Rating: Summary: I'm a new Mom Review: I practice Attachment Parenting and *strongly* support it. Attachment Parenting has worked wonders in our family. I bought this book because it was listed in my "recommendations" section on amazon.com and it sounded great [I bought it about a year ago before any of the negative reviews you see here were posted]. This is the worst book I've ever paid money for. It is full of typos, grammatical errors, misspellings, sentence fragments - it is truly wretched. I was so angry that I spent the price of the book plus shipping for it - I felt horribly ripped off. This book is extremely poorly written and not worth the time it took to try to read it. [It had so many mistakes in it that it was extremely difficult to even attempt to read]. A year later I'm still annoyed at the time and money I wasted on this book. While the author seems genuinely passionate about the subject and is attempting to do a good thing in writing this book, I don't think this book is near the quality it needs to be before she takes people's money for it. I strongly suspect that many of the positive reviews posted here come from friends or family of the author - I can't see how an objective reader could recommend this book to anyone in good conscience. Attachment Parenting is a wonderful subject and fully worth reading about, but if you want a good [GREAT] book on the subject, do yourself a favor and skip this one completely - read "Attachment Parenting" by Katie Allison Granju or *any* Dr. William Sears book. Those are dollars and hours you'll be very glad you spent.
