Rating: Summary: Poorly written book on a great topic Review: As a new attachment parent I decided to read "everything" out there. I sure want my money back. Amazon should indicate when books are self-published. I feel cheated. This is such a poor work on a great topic. There are writing errors on every page. The book is also poorly organized. Claims are left unsupported by research. Although I agree with the author's supportive statements about attachment parenting, her style of sweeping generalizations and no supporting evidence would leave many readers to think there is no research supporting her claims. I find it very hard to believe that the positive reviews posted here aren't simply fabricated. Parents interested in attachment parenting should read the works that have been published by actual publishers. They are of a much higher quality and than this self published work.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: As an attachment parenting dad, I am always on the look out for great parenting books that support my style of parenting. The views of an AP dad in this book were extremely helpful to me and even made me see a few different aspects in a different light. I also learned a lot from the circumcision chapter and changed my mind about circumcising my new baby if it is a boy.

Rating: Summary: For Moms to be Review: Every Parent's Guide to Attachment Parenting helped me preparee for the hospital experience. It is important to know what you have control over and to set your rules in place before you are going through labor. I wanted my baby in my room so that I could monitor everything that was done to her. Being pregnant is a time that you want everything to be right and you have to plan and ask questions to make this happen.
Rating: Summary: I'm a new Mom Review: Every Parent's Guide to Attachment Parenting helped me to prepare for the hospital experience. Every parent should know that they have control of how they want to be treated and how they want their child to be treated. The author had some no-nonsense advice that I thank her for from the bottom of my heart.
Rating: Summary: Get this book Review: Good book, great information and VERY enjoyable to read. This is the best attachment parenting book I have read. I like the views from the everyday parents and the topics are thorough.
Rating: Summary: Glad I have this book. Great fun to read and informative! Review: Great information wrapped up in an interesting manner. Witty stories from other mother's mixed in with helpful facts. Really a great book.
Rating: Summary: Heart-warming and natural Review: Heart-warming and natural is how I felt after reading this book. It was so nice to be validated and supported with the authors words and beliefs. I have read some other attachment parenting books and I didn't get the same positive feeling from them that I did with this book. I feel like the authors friend. This is a down to earth and comfortable book. It doesn't try to impress and focus on all the glitz and glossy on the out-side like some other AP books do. It concentrates on getting the message about AP across to the readers. I really appreciate that.
Rating: Summary: Nervous Mom-to-be Review: I am due in a few weeks and enjoyed reading about full time rooming in, birthing centers and home births. I am writing a birthing plan as Tammy Frissell-Deppe suggested. I will feel more comfortable knowing that my wishes will be carried out by the hospital staff. I didn't realize I would have so much control over the birth. Thank you Tammy for this timely book.
