Review: Mom's Guide to Basketball is an excellent pocket guide to the basic terms and rules of basketball, complete with court diagram and referee illustrations of frequent calls. It's part of the Mom's Guide to Sports series (soccer, baseball, etc.) which I've found invaluable for my sports-mom friends in the bleachers as we watch our kids. In Mom's Guide to Basketball, all those terms are quickly explained, like "backcourt" violation and "three-second" violation. Well written without the burden of trying to read an entire book, the Mom's Guide to Basketball pocket guide scores with my friends in the stands. And for the price, you can't beat it.
