Summary: Great For new and old mothers!
Review: Every new mother needs this book! I wish I had it during my daughters first year. I would have cried less from sleep deprivation and laughed more. Even the final chapter about her aging mother is not sappy, but profound and sometimes hyserically funny. I was so moved by this book and highly recommend it to other new parents.

Summary: One Hip Mama
Review: Growing Seasons offers a feast of gardening, aging family, movie biz, marriage and new parenting stories to keep you laughing and crying all the way through. The book truly is a gem. I was sorry it ended so soon.

Summary: Spiegelman Book signing at Barnes & Noble
Review: I just went to see the author at Barnes & Noble Booksellers and she was very inspiring. She played Tom Jones music at the start and was such an optimistic person. We laughed a lot, but her message surely came through about all of us trying to be more conscious parents and marriage partners than the role models many of us grew up with. Proceeds from the book are being donated to a group called "Act Against Violence". Annie Spiegelman rules!!

Summary: This book is a gem!
Review: I read Annie Spegelman's first book, "Annie's Garden Journal" and have been anxiously awaiting any further literary gifts from her.
It was well worth the wait.
I loved this new book, "Growing Seasons..."- was so moved by her wit and immense sensitivity. I felt very connected to her as I read the book. Now I will reread both of her books and wait for the next. I feel as if I have found a good friend in this writer.

Truly, what a gift.

Summary: growing seasons
Review: I read Annie's book and I loved it. I found it hard to put down and found myself either laughing or crying all the way through it. I am married and have two small children and my own business. I enjoyed her comments and sense of humor regarding juggling children, an aging and ill parent, marriage, and the workplace. The book is fun and easy to read especilly for those of us who barely have a moment to themselves.

Review: This book hit the nail on the head. Many new moms are faced with taking care of their aging parents while having babies & toddlers running amuck at home. Spiegelman keeps you laughing when you want to just give UP! I finished the book and wanted to find her to give her a big hug. Their is so much honesty and love in this book.
