Summary: I had to say something
Review: Being dumped by the love of my life placed me at a near suicidal place, in a dank grey town in mid-winter. This is a very serious topic and should not be exploited. I looked at every book out there including some mentioned in other reviews of this book. I don't write reviews. I've never done this, but this subject is far too serious, and I sense that some authors are trying to "minimize" certain works just so they can sell their books. And they don't even identify themselves. Hmmm.THIS BOOK HELPED ME IN WAYS YOU CANNOT IMAGINE, so much so that I wrote to the authors and THEY WROTE ME BACK A PERSONAL AND SUPPORTIVE NOTE. If you're reading this and trying to figure out which book to buy for this very serious time in your life, this is an honest unpretentious book that will help you, and this topic is far too serious to play games with your own life. You'll be okay. I promise, and this book will help you. I promise.

Summary: Hard to follow...had to discontinue halfway
Review: Bought this book in hopes it would help me ease the pain of the hardest breakups I've experienced and as I read it, I slowly had a bad taste in my mouth about it. I think the intention is there but the substance is really lacking. I made it to page 65....and I just couldn't take it anymore. It almost seems as if he's forcing his advice down your throat. Not very helpful at all. At least, I didn't digress.

Summary: It really works!
Review: I don't know about Mr. Bronson's other books, but I found Mr. Riley's tips enormously helpful in keeping me preoccupied with any number of productive ways to speed up my recovery from pain. Within thirty days, I felt better about myself and my prospects than I have in a couple of years. And what about my ex? I can truthfully say: Bye-bye with a smile.

Summary: very helpful!
Review: I have found this book to be very supportive. Its part friend, part therapy as it guides you through the first month of a break up. Good suggestions without being corny or having alot of psychobabble theories. It also has been great company when I have felt like I just can't drag a friend through the dicussion another time! However I think its best if used when relationship broke up somewhat amicably - as mine did (he doesn't want marriage, I did and hoped that he would in time). There is not enough consoling/understanding what went wrong for break ups that are more traumatic and non-mutual..yeah, I've had those too!

Summary: very helpful!
Review: I picked this book up on a whim and thought it very helpful in getting over a past relationship. The authors treat the broken heart as a universal phenomenon, one that every human goes through at least once in their lives. I found this insight very comforting, knowing that there were millions of other people with similar feelings. The authors clearly speak from experience. They are consequently sympathetic towards the broken heart, but that does not stop them from offering a gung-ho program for people finally to start healing themselves and learning to love again. This book also offers helpful advice on how to establish an effective physical platform from which to initiate the psychological healing process: eating right, exercising, etc. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!

Summary: This Is The One To Choose
Review: I'm not a review writer, but I really wanted to share this experience. When your heart is broken (and mine was busted to pieces), you feel weak and vulnerable and unsure where to turn. Then you see all these books and advice columns on the net. I went that route and studied a lot of them, but nothing really lived up to the promise until a friend loaned me her copy of this book. Well, after months of being stuck in such broken-heartedness, this book really made a positive difference. I am now happier than I've ever been, self-assured, dating, but in no rush. And none of this would have happened without this book. Listen to me: If you're going through a broken-heart experience, there is nothing better out there than this. I know. I did the research. There is nothing that even comes close. I urge you to read this book. It is the only one I found that really lives up to its promise.

Summary: Uneven but still helpful
Review: It's been thirty days since my breakup and I've just finished reading this book. It was a welcome companion at the end of each painful day of grieving; knowing that its wisdom was waiting to comfort me just before I got in bed helped me avoid the slide into depression most days. It offered many helpful insights and ideas to keep me moving forward. On the other hand, the quality of the writing is very uneven: I noticed many sentences that sounded good but on closer inspection seemed nonsensical or meaningless. The book is also marred by LOTS of typographical errors. But I do feel better than I did a month ago: the book helped me make a start at healing.

Summary: Heart's Not Healed
Review: The title is mis-leading. In 30 days your broken heart more than likely won't be healed, especially if you took a hard fall like I did.I read the book. I was faithfull to it for 30 days, making sure to read it every morning without missing a day. Althought it was a decent book, it never quite touched me in a way that would spark the healing process. What I've learned from all this is that there is no specific time limit for getting over someone. It depends on several factors...like how long you were together, how emotionally invested you were, the circumstances of your break up and how you feel about yourself in general. I say don't waste your time if your truly heartbroken there are better books out there like Don't Call That Man by Rhonda Findling.

Summary: A Wonderful Companion
Review: This book is a true gem. The reader is guided through a personal rebirth. Each day the authors dispense sage-like wisdom to let you move past your old, dead relationship and discover what love really should be. You will find that there is no need to grieve for several months over a relationship that most likely was unhealthy. You are forced to make steps toward recovery and self-improvement through various exercises(I found the tips on diet and exercise to be the most important for me). Highly recommended for anyone suffering from heartbreak.
