Review: I read this book for all the wrong reasons, i saw Brian Murray Wachtendorf on tv and i thought i'd give the book a chance . Wow my mind was was definatly opened to the possibilities in life . I mean anyone who had even the smallest dysfunction in life can learn that life can be good even if it takes a while. Brian makes his points well with out alot of emotionalism and his personality shows through . i recommend this one to everyone! Even if i don't think Polygamy is for everyone it could be a viable life choice for some. he has made his life a good one . an he lives it to the fullest.

Summary: any one who is in a disfunctional family/marriage
Review: in his new book Mr Wwachtendorf is not trying to give you any quick or simple fixes for your problems... only some good insights into how he dealt with his own and perhaps his statements will help uou to see more clearly. and to make you see the good in all things

Summary: Disturbing Beyond Belief
Review: In the beginning of this book, the author states that everything written in this book is true. You see, Mr. Murray-Wachtendorf, there are many people out here that know who you really are. In my opinion, this book offers nothing of any value to society. You did not tell the truth about many things in this book. You may feel some uncontrolable urge to try and make others believe that you have an insight on how marriages and families should operate, I think public record will speak for itself. I have shared this book with several people who knew you years ago and with people who do not know you--the reaction is the same, they do not believe you, disturbed by your statements, and wonder how you could teach in the public school system (they have read the articles on the Stafford M.S.D., Texas incident where you were teaching and chose to bring a loaded .45 calibur semi-automatic weapon to the campus where it was stolen by a student and you resigned your position even though you claimed that you did nothing wrong--stories can be read by simply typing in the author's name via internet searches). This book is "wordy." It insults my intelligence. This book will serve a definite purpose soon, if nothing but paper to start the fireplace roaring (that is your one star).

Summary: A Visionary
Review: Many peolple complain about how things are but do nothing except ask "why?". . . this man has asked, "Why not!" and i think he is a brave man for doing so. He has set a tone for other men to follow and by all indications has truly put his family first. A feat that many profess, but so few actually accomplish.

I loved the final chapter. Deep, very deep, yet refreshingly simple. It truly should be read by every father in America. I have recommended this book to every friend I have and I cannot say enough good about it. Truly inspiring!

Summary: a unique spiritual journey
Review: Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down! I finished it in 2 days, so eager I was to find out how Brian overcame the inumerable challenges presented to him. From his troubled childhood, to his unconventional, yet down to earth lifestyle choices, this is a powerful, gripping account of the power of spirit to triumph. He chose not to give in to the abuse, anger and bitterness that surrounded him in his formative years.

This is a truly moving and powerful story of an individual's spiritual journey through darkness toward enlightenment. A must read for those of us who seek to better not only ourselves but also our environment. I have recommended this book to many friends and acquaintances. More power to you, Brian!

Summary: Not Educational
Review: This book is a long litany of terrible things that can happen to a child, it is hard to believe that it all happened in real life and not in an author's imagination. Further than that there is no advice on how to live, no advice on how to make a marriage (with any amount of wives) successful. This book seems all about shock value .If you want to get down in the pit and waller with the author....go ahead. I would prefer to spend my money on something more uplifting.
