Review: 'Parenting Power in the Early Years' is a must have for all new parents. It is even helpful for those working in a daycare facility or ones that have a daycare in their home. Brenda Nixon's book is easy to read and enjoyable. She has a lot of great ideas targeted to concerns of a new parent. Being a parent herself she is able to draw from real life experiences. I would offer this book to anyone that I know.

I do not currently have children, but I feel more prepared now that I have read this for what may lie ahead. This will be a definate gift for all my pregnant friends!

Review: As an experienced parent, I find this book to be informative, insightful and full of great ideas. With 3 young children, it's easy for me to get stuck in a discipline rut...Parenting Power! freshened my perspective and gave me new ideas that are effective and easy to implement. There is also such great information for new parents that I bought extra copies to give as gifts. This is a reference book that you definitely want to have in your library!

Would recommend to all parents of young children - or would make a wonderful gift for new or expectant parents. Very helpful appendices in the back of the book offer gift giving suggestions for children by age, a child development guide, and a list of other helpful resources for parents. Give this book a thumbs up!
