Rating: Summary: Sets Realistic Expectations Review: During my first pregnancy, I referred to this book daily. The approach was very straightforward, the tone was not alarming (like some other wildly popular titles), and much of the information was presented visually. The book traces the progress of one woman from conception to birth. A photograph of her body from the waist up begins each chapter, so you can see how her body changes from month to month. As a first time mom-to-be, I appreciated this realistic picture of pregnancy as it helped me to accept the changes my body was going through as "normal."
Rating: Summary: Confusing, Don't buy this book, borrow if you must read it. Review: This book was VERY disappointing. All the information is jumbled up. For example, in the section about the first trimester, it already begins with articles on birth choices. Most women don't find out they are pregnant til the middle of the first trimester anyway, and childbirth choices are definitely not the first thing on their minds! What information the book does give is more summarized, and just gives you general ideas. I wouldn't recommend this book.
