Summary: Hello Lulu
Review: I just recently bought this little book for my 21 month old little girl who is also biracial. I also have a four and a half year old who also loves the book. The people illustrated in the book represent the various shades of people in our family. It is one of the few children's books that represent families of mixed races and cultures.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A seven month old reader
Review: My 13-month old pulls this book out herself and demands that we read it again and again. The illustrations are happy and whimsical and the story is simple and lively. Plus, "Hello, Lulu," manages to incorporate three elements that virtually ensure its inclusion on the toddler's best seller list -- a pet dog (who likes biscuits), new shoes and a slice of pizza. Of course, we suspect what makes our daughter LOVE this book is the fact that her name is Lulu too!

Summary: A wonderfully charming book for any small child!
Review: My 2 year old daughter absolutely LOVES this book! The illustrations and large letters are completely captivating and loads of fun for small children. The use of color to engage your child is nothing less than brilliant! A classic, "must-have" book for every family.

Summary: Becoming Lulu
Review: My almost 2 year old daughter loves this book (and the other Lulu books ) so much that we now have to call her "NuNu" (close sister to Lulu) and braid her hair just like Lulu's.
These books rock. I love that the characters are multi-racial as well. Lulu's family looks much like ours ! (except that her Mama is cuter)

Summary: Hello, LuLu
Review: This book is the perfect first book for reading to your child. The colors come to life right off the page, the words are simple and few, and the characters' smiles almost immediately will bring a smile right back. You can't help but love this book.

We are introduced to Lulu and her friends, as well as her pets. She lives in a world we all would love to live in, where people of many races come together, smile together, and play together, all under a sunny and marvelously beautiful palette. Caroline Uff has somehow been able to transform less than 50 words into a work of child-like splendor with her paintbrush.

Read this book to your little ones; they will repeat the words back, and be able to "read" it to you by the third reading - that's a guarantee! Come feed the dog and blow bubbles with Lulu and her friends today!
