Review: These authors have provided a rare and fresh look at the way we view African American teenagers. The assumptions many of us make about they way in which these teenagers view their purpose are completly unjustified, The book outlines how the teenagers form their thoughts and provides constructive methods of response in order to get the results we want from this group, we are beginning to fear. The theory oultined in the book has allowed me to work with families and help them to understand their children. We need to offer these authors a thanks from the entire profession of social work
